What are friends for?

Have you ever worked on a project and the other person wanted to take all the credit? Well the project I worked on was just my project but I HAD a friend who thought I should have told him I was working on. I mean he got mad when I didn't and because I worked on it with my wife. I mean come on shouldn't you be happy for a friend if they get published. I would have been the first to buy their book if that was the case. But not my friend. They went behind my back and talk trash about me. So I learned a very good lesson don't work with friends just be friends with them. I mean I don't want to lose my friendship with them but I do believe I already have. It's very sad. So what would you do?
